Grantmaking Process

Please Note:
Potential and returning grantees are strongly encouraged to call or meet with the Foundation before submitting any grant request to address any ideas, questions or concerns they may have regarding the grantmaking process and mission-fit nature of their proposed grant request.

GRANT CYCLES

Deaconess Community Foundation has three grant cycles per year. Dates that grant requests must be received in the office and respective funding decision dates are:

First Grant Cycle
– request due January 15; decision by mid-April
Second Grant Cycle
– request due May 15; decision by mid-August
Third Grant Cycle
– request due September 15; decision by mid-December

If these dates fall on a holiday or weekend, grant requests are due on the next business day. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
